Seven Years In
Seven Years In—and Still Becoming
Seven years ago, I made a decision that changed everything.
I became a hypnotist because I had terrible, debilitating, life-stealing anxiety and panic attacks. And here's the honest truth: I was so afraid to go to a hypnotist that I decided to become one and fix myself instead.
After just one week, my panic attacks were gone.
But I didn't stop there. Almost every single day since mid-July 2019, I have done the inner work. That's why I'm still here, seven years later, running Lynne Coaching & Hypnosis, and more certain than ever that this is exactly what I was designed to do.
Making It to Seven When Most Don't
What puts this milestone into perspective for me are the odds were not in my favor:
Year 1: Roughly 20-24% of new businesses close their doors.
Year 5: About 48-50% of small businesses have failed.
Year 10: Around 65% don't survive at all.
Seven years places this work well beyond the most critical failure periods most entrepreneurs face. And I don't say that to brag, I say it because I know exactly what it took to get here, and I want you to understand something about how change actually happens.
The Power of Daily Work
If there's one thing I hope you take from this, it's this: your life usually does not do a complete 180 in a single week. Not in every area, anyway.
But daily work is powerfully, exponentially compounding.
I tell my clients this all the time. If you want the kind of confidence, groundedness, safety, and alignment that I feel EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. you have to be willing to do the work for it. Not once. Not in a burst of motivation. Consistently.
It's possible. And showing you how is my highest purpose and my greatest joy.
Healing and Business Growth Are the Same Journey
There have been many ups and downs.
At Year 5, I went through a major life event, a divorce. Continuing to show up and help people wasn't just my work during that season. It was part of my own healing. Serving my clients gave me the opportunity to heal myself, too.
Being a business owner has challenged my self-concept at every single step. I was telling a client just today that I cannot imagine doing anything else. I feel as if I was designed for this.
Here's what I've learned: only through healing have I been able to see who I truly am. And only through being a business owner have I been able to continually strengthen myself, sharpen my wisdom, and become more fully myself.
This is the truth beneath so much of what I teach. What we carry within us, the fear, the anxiety, the internal walls, is so often acquired, not inherent. It was built to survive something that's already over. And when we release what never belonged to us, we don't become someone new. We become who we were always meant to be.
My Clients Are the Heroes of This Story
I would not be the human being I am today unless I was willing to learn with every single client who has walked through my door. Every single one has taught me something along the way and helped me to be better.
They are the heroes of this business. Without them, I would be nothing.
I sometimes wish the world didn't need healers. But while it does, I want to be here serving, to show every person how to become their own hero, how to return to their true self.
Because hypnosis isn't magic or mind control. It's healing at a foundational, subconscious level, so you can return to being who you were always supposed to be.
Watching a client move from panicked, anxious, and afraid to self-empowered, grounded, whole, and genuinely loving themselves... being a guardian of that process...is one of the greatest honors of my life.
So thank you to every person who trusted me to help them heal. I wouldn't be here without you.
To My Community
I am so grateful for every single person in my community.
To everyone I've collaborated with, studied alongside, been coached by, and leaned on, THANK YOU! Whether you're tagged in this post or not, if we've ever had a one-on-one conversation about business, you are part of my journey.
I'm thinking of every bit of support, encouragement, and acceptance you gave me. All of it contributed to these wonderful seven years.
Still Becoming
Seven years in, I am more certain than ever about the value of this work, the people I want to serve, and the impact I hope to make next.
I only wish for seven times seven more years of this. I look forward to it that much.
Here's to becoming.

A Few Thoughts On The Number Seven
& And Why I'm Staying Around.
The number seven shows up everywhere you look. We build our lives around it without even noticing. Seven days in a week. Seven colors in the rainbow. Seven musical notes before the octave begins again. Seven seas, seven continents, seven wonders of the ancient world. Seven chakras running up the spine, each one a doorway to a different part of who we are.
Across nearly every culture, philosophy, and spiritual tradition, seven shows up as a marker of something complete, and something about to begin again.
A Number That Cultures Couldn't Ignore
Look closely and you'll find seven woven into the deepest parts of how humans make meaning.
In religion and spirituality: Seven days of creation. Seven heavens. Seven sacred rivers. Rest on the seventh day.
In science and nature: Seven bands of visible light. Roughly seven-year cycles in which many of the body's cells renew themselves.
In music: Seven notes that form the foundation of nearly every melody you've ever loved.
In the body's energy system: Seven chakras, each governing a layer of our physical, emotional, and spiritual life.
This isn't coincidence. It's a pattern our ancestors felt in their bones long before anyone could explain it. Seven tends to mark the moment where things come full circle, and where deeper wisdom becomes available.
What Seven Means in Numerology
In numerology, seven is the number of the seeker.
It's the wisdom number. The one tied to inner knowing, spiritual awakening, and the willingness to look beneath the surface for what's actually true. Seven doesn't rush. It reflects. It goes inward. It trusts what it feels even when the outside world hasn't caught up yet.
Seven is where insight turns into depth, and depth turns into purpose.
For someone who has built an entire life's work around helping people return to their truest selves, I can't think of a more fitting number to be standing inside of right now.
The Convergence I Can't Stop Thinking About
Here's what makes this moment so remarkable to me.
Right now, I'm in a Personal Year 6 in numerology, a year of responsibility, nurturing, healing, and tending to what matters most. It's a year of taking care of the people and the work I love. That fits exactly where I've been.
And next year, I step into a Personal Year 7. In numerology, this is a year of reflection, spiritual growth, and deep inner work. It's a year for going quiet enough to hear your own wisdom. A year for shedding what no longer belongs to you and stepping into a truer, more grounded version of your purpose. It's introspective, but it's also where clarity crystallizes into something powerful.
My business is also entering its seventh year. At the very same time I am personally encountering a year 7.
So my personal life and my professional life will both be living inside a seven, side by side, at once. Two sevens, aligned. The seeker and the healer, the woman and the work, moving into the same season of wisdom together. And there's more...
At the very last few days of 2026, I turn 50.
Fifty. A half-century. A number that carries its own weight, of experience earned, of self finally known, of a woman who has done the daily work long enough to trust what she carries.
A personal seven. A business seven. And the threshold of fifty. All landing in the same window of time.
I don't think that's an accident. I think it's an invitation.
Why I'm Not Going Anywhere
You could read the numerology and call it symbolism. You could set it all aside and call it beautiful timing. Either way, the meaning is the same to me.
Everything in my life is pointing toward the same thing: this is a season of deeper wisdom, deeper truth, and deeper purpose, and I intend to live all the way into it.
Because here's what I know for sure after seven years. The most important work isn't loud. It happens quietly, consistently, in the daily choice to become more of who you actually are. Seven has always been the number of that kind of becoming. The inward number. The number where survival patterns fall away and something real and grounded takes their place.
I've never felt more certain about the value of this work, the people I'm here to serve, or what I want to build next. And whatever the numbers say, I feel the truth of it deep inside my mind, body, and spirit: something big is coming.
So stick around.
There is so much ahead, new ways to work together, deeper conversations, and more of the bold, honest, liberating work that helps people release what was never theirs to carry in the first place.
Come Along for the Next Seven
If this journey resonates with you, I'd love for you to stay close.
Follow along. Comment. Reach out. Tell me what seven means to you, or what season you feel yourself stepping into right now. I read every message, and I mean it when I say your presence here matters.
And if you're feeling the pull to do your own deeper work—to release the fear and internal walls that have been running old patterns far too long—that's exactly what I'm here for. Let's have a conversation about it. You can reach out anytime or schedule a Clarity Call, and we'll figure out the right next step for you.
Seven years down. Seven times seven more to go.
Cheers to what's coming!
